Newly promoted Aston Villa sets to secure the signing of Anwar El Ghazi from Lille for an agreed fee of £8 million. Ghazi who had the opportunity to turn his loan deal into a permanent deal spent last season on loan at Aston Villa and helped the Villans promote to the premier league tier of the English football.
After a somewhat disappointing start, the winger later out of the blue, improved at the Park to convince Aston Villa to activate the permanent deal option of his loan contract. The 24-year-old scored six goals for the Villans throughout his spell last season, which included an important opener against Frank Lampard’s Derby County in the play-off final.
The former Ajax player will become Dean Smith’s second signing of the summer after 27-year-old, Spanish attacker, Jota moved to the Park. He joined Aston Villa on loan from Lille after failing to establish his worth at the Ligue 1 side. It is not strange as to why Aston Villa has opted to buy the Dutchman, as he has demonstrated potential over his loan spell.
Aston Villa is also looking to revamp their team in preparation for a new challenge as a report noted that they have allowed eight of their players leave last week. One possible entrant is Bournemouth’s Tyrone Mings who arrived on loan at the Villa Park in January and made a significant impression. It is expected that the Cherries will reap higher through the Englishman, owing to his impressive performance at the Park.
